The Future Light
Orphanage (FLO), is located a half-hour's drive from Phnom Penh and ten
minutes from the Phnom Penh International Airport. FLO has a small number of
rooms for rent to visitors willing to spend part of their vacation time
teaching English and Computer skills to Cambodian orphans.
The orphanage was established to care for children whose parents were killed
or disabled during the Khmer Rough regime, the civil war of 1997, have died
from HIV or who have been abandoned. The time the children can spend with
caring adults is of huge benefit to them. |

A donation from guests is appropriate for
staying at the orphanage to cover the following expenses; clean and
comfortable rooms, air conditioning (the major expense), cable television,
laundry service, Internet service and transportation to and from the
airport.

US$38/room for one person, US$48 for two
persons (two persons max) includes meals. |

There is a new
library and a Khmer cultural exhibit for your enjoyment. We also have
beautiful gardens and ponds on our nine acres of orphanage grounds. |

One luxury two-room
guest house is also available for US$60 for two persons and US$25 for each
additional person. This includes all meals and above services. (See picture

Your donation is a
big help to support the daily expenses of running the orphanage. Any other
support is of course always welcome as there are always expenses for over
the 100 plus children who live at FLO and the 100 plus other children we
support in the community. |

Before your departure date, our children will
perform three traditional farewell dances.
The weather is quite warm in Cambodia so be sure to bring your shorts and
slippers. Most of the staff speak some English and the children are doing
their best but can really use your help. They are also very happy to teach
you some Khmer language. |

|
|
Our children
benefit tremendously from the knowledge, encouragement, and love they
receive from our visitors. We hope that you will be one of them.

required from all of our visitors.
